Each team works together to create art pieces in the medium of their choice\, and they’ll compete against one another to see who can raise the most funds for Access Arts. At the end of the process\, we host a big event for all to attend and auction off their pieces! This year\, CelebrARTy is on Wednesday\, September 6\, at The Blue Note. Each $50 ticket includes access to the live auction\, where you can bid on the teams’ unique artwork. Additionally\, the experience of each team creating their artwork was carefully captured in a professional short film\, which will premiere at this event. DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition\, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will be hosting Save a Life: Naloxone education and distribution event Tuesday\, June 13 from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at The Blue Note\, 17 N. 9th St. \nSave a Life is a series of monthly\, free-to-the-public events that feature education and conversation around how members in the community can help to prevent opioid overdose deaths through the use of Naloxone\, also known as NARCAN® (a drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose). The training will include recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose as well as explanation of how to use and access NARCAN® nasal spray. \nMore information: \n\nThe Blue Note\, 17 N. 9th St.\, Columbia\nTuesday\, June 13\n12:15 to 1 p.m.\nNo registration.\nNo cost.\nLight snacks provided.\nAttendees receive a 2-dose box of naloxone.
