SUMMARY:Save-a-Life!: Narcan/Naloxone Distribution & Education Event
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition\, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will be hosting a Save a Life!: Naloxone education and distribution event Thursday\, Jan. 5\, from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at 204 E. Ash St.\, Columbia\, MO.  \nThis Save a Life! event is a part of a series of free to the public events that feature education and conversation around how the public can help to prevent opioid overdose deaths through the use of Naloxone\, also known as NARCAN®.  \nThere will be a demonstration of how to use NARCAN® to reverse opioid overdoses\, as well as information on how to identify the signs of an opioid overdose.  Participants will receive a free box of NARCAN® and light snacks will be available.  \nMember agencies of the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition will also be hosting community resource tables.
