SUMMARY:ECHO Autism Communities Sneak-Preview of In a Different Key: The Movie
DESCRIPTION:ECHO Autism Communities is proud to sponsor the FREE Sneak-Preview of the award winning documentary\, “In a Different Key.” An event to come together as a community and be inspired! \nWinner of multiple film festival awards\, IN A DIFFERENT KEY is a documentary account of the first person ever diagnosed with autism\, a Mississippi man named Donald Triplett\, who is remarkably still going strong at the age of 88. It is one of the film’s surprises that Mr. Triplett was blessed to live in a small and close-knit community that always supported him in all ways. \nWith an original score by jazz great Wynton Marsalis\, the film expands to include the stories of many other people on the spectrum\, who have struggled for the kind of acceptance and support enjoyed by Mr. Triplett. \n“If there’s a message\,” said Zucker\, the mother of an adult man with autism\, “it’s that it shouldn’t be that hard to have the back of someone who is different.”

SUMMARY:Godspell
DESCRIPTION:Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner\, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked\, Pippin\, Children of Eden); and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit\, “Day by Day\,” Godspell features a parade of beloved songs\, including “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord\,” “Learn Your Lessons Well\,” “All for the Best\,” “All Good Gifts\,” “Turn Back\, O Man” and “By My Side.” \nA small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games\, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs\, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville\, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion\, Jesus’ messages of kindness\, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. \nBoasting a score with chart-topping songs\, a book by a visionary playwright (John-Michael Tebelak) and a feature film\, Godspell is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.
