The 2024 Mid-Mo BBQ Contest

Do you have a secret recipe for ribs or chicken thighs that you want to prove is a winner? Bring your friends and form a team to claim a prize! The BBQ Contest will feature local teams competing for bragging rights.
Judges, led by award winning Master BBQ Cook Jay Curry of Spicewine Ironworks will award winners according to taste, appearance and creativity. This contest is on its way to accreditation with the Kansas City BBQ Society so join us as we start to put Columbia on the map! Attendees will have the chance to taste the entries and award their favorite tasting BBQ a prize. All proceeds will go towards Show-Me Habitat for Humanity.
