LANDING AFTER HOURS: MISSOURI AS “UPPER LOUISIANA”

The shifting tides of governmental and cultural influence on the Louisiana Territory since the early days of European exploration have left a rich and diverse heritage in the state. Join Missouri State Museum Interpretive Aide Clinton Flowers as he leads a detailed look at European exploration and settlement and their impacts on the state’s history and people.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” program is held the first Wednesday of each month at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, located at 100 Jefferson St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the program will start at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.

In addition to being held in person, this program will also be livestreamed on the Missouri State Museum’s Facebook page.
