Giving Tree Earth Day Celebration

Join us to celebrate Earth Day and World Book Day at the Giving Tree Earth Day Celebration! We want to educate the community on the importance of reading and keeping the Earth clean and healthy. Bring your family and friends to enjoy activities for all ages.

JQs on High, Wrap It Up, food trucks and RJ’s Italian Ice will be there with food and treats for purchase.
JC Parks will be hosting a kite flying competition during the event! Contestants can either bring a built or purchased kite to the competition to compete. Winners will receive prizes courtesy of JC Parks.
Below are the guidelines and point system the judge will use when scoring the competition.
- Scoring will be based on 3 factors.
-The overall creativity and design of the kite (Worth 10 points)
-The kites’ ability to fly (weather permitting) (Worth 10 points)
-If the kite is built by the contestant or store bought (Worth 5 points)
(If there is inclement weather during the competition, the judges will use guidelines 1 and 3 to score the competition.)
