ECHO Autism Communities Sneak-Preview of In a Different Key: The Movie

April 25, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

ECHO Autism Communities is proud to sponsor the FREE Sneak-Preview of the award winning documentary, “In a Different Key.” An event to come together as a community and be inspired!

Winner of multiple film festival awards, IN A DIFFERENT KEY is a documentary account of the first person ever diagnosed with autism, a Mississippi man named Donald Triplett, who is remarkably still going strong at the age of 88. It is one of the film’s surprises that Mr. Triplett was blessed to live in a small and close-knit community that always supported him in all ways.

With an original score by jazz great Wynton Marsalis, the film expands to include the stories of many other people on the spectrum, who have struggled for the kind of acceptance and support enjoyed by Mr. Triplett.

“If there’s a message,” said Zucker, the mother of an adult man with autism, “it’s that it shouldn’t be that hard to have the back of someone who is different.”
