Another Story Untold – author discussion

I have been invited to speak at Jefferson City High School for an author visit where I will be presenting to students about my book, Another Story Untold, and leading a discussion centered on mental health awareness, self-expression, and resilience.

 During this visit, I will be sharing my personal journey, one that includes overcoming adversity and finding my voice through writing. Through my memoir, I share my journey of overcoming childhood trauma, including abuse, and how I transformed those experiences into a message of healing, resilience, and empowerment for others.

 My goal is to encourage students to embrace their stories, understand the importance of mental health, and feel empowered to express themselves.

 I believe this story is important to cover because it highlights the impact of lived experiences, the power of storytelling, and the growing importance of mental health conversations among youth. It also reflects positive community engagement and representation, showing students that healing and purpose are possible.
