Carnival of the Obscure - benefiting Spectrum Health Care

Friday, October 29, 2021, 1:00 AM - 6:00 AM

Spectrum Health Care is excited to present CARNIVAL OF THE OBSCURE - a live entertainment event for the whole family with carnival-type games and snacks, multiple food trucks and a cash bar on site, and a costume contest! More information may be found on our Facebook event page (https://fb.me/e/1RhmQX7Bn), and our website (www.SpectrumHealthCare.org).

$25 admission ticket includes: Snack food and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price of your ticket. We are also excited to present a concert by “Members Only”, an 80s Tribute Band (http://www.membersonlytribute.com/). Entry tickets available online (https://tinyurl.com/SHC-Carnival-Tickets-2021) or at the office (1123 Wilkes Blvd, Ste 100; Columbia, MO 65201).

Entertainment: We are pleased to have “Members Only” as our entertainment for the evening. They will be offering a 2-hour concert featuring the hits of the 80’s starting at 8pm. Their mission: To play a full-length, high-energy, rock show of the most recognizable hits of the 1980's. Their goal: Synthesize every show into an epic party. Their high-energy, trademark performance merges an incredible light show with music that spans the decade: Journey, Michael Jackson, Def Leppard, Prince, Bon Jovi, G&R, and many more artists. Stylistically, the band plays a balance of rock and pop that emphasizes a packed dance floor. Put on your party gear, and let these masters of the 80's remind you that the 80's will always live on. Please note: games, food and other festivities continue during concert in other areas of the Pavilion.

Costume Contest: Masks are not just for disease control; they are also for our costume contest! Three exciting cash/gift card prizes awarded: individual entry, theme couple/throuple, and theme group. Special consideration for integration of your COVID face mask.

Spectrum Health Care serves thousands of Missourians by providing low-cost/sliding-scale Primary Care Clinic services, STI/STD testing and HIV/HEP C/STI/STD Prevention Education at no charge or for a donation, HUD-funded housing in 66 Missouri counties (for specific and verifiable disabilities), free and low-cost birth control and education, Self-Care workshops and education, and other programs to better serve the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Spectrum Health Care is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. In 2018, prior to the COVID19 pandemic and shutdown, the organization served over 8,000 individuals. Even during the pandemic covering 2019-2020, SHC saw only a marginal shift in client/patient numbers with over 6,000 individuals assisted (the majority of change was though our outreach and education programs, as those were not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions). www.SpectrumHealthCare.org

At this time, we will be requiring confirmation of attendees being fully vaccinated (vaccination card), or a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours. Temperature check at entrance.
